High-net-worth borrowers are increasingly prioritising liquidity and flexibility over simply securing the lowest possible mortgage rate, according to Enness Global’s H1 2026 Private Client Finance Report.
Speaking to The Intermediary, Islay Robinson highlighted growing demand for specialist lending, including securities-backed loans, bridging finance and cross-border facilities. The report also found continued interest from international buyers in prime London, alongside strong demand for refinancing as fixed-rate mortgages expire.
Robinson says sophisticated borrowers are increasingly focused on structuring finance around their wider wealth position, with certainty of execution and preserving liquidity becoming key considerations.
